Topics include mental health, oral and dental health, uninsurance, access to comprehensive preventive health care, HIV/AIDS, cancer, and other chronic and acute conditions.

Professor, University of South Carolina, College of Social Work. Dr. Cooper-Lewter delivers a special presentation overview on the pressing mental health issues that disproportionately – and often detrimentally – affect the health and wellness of the African American male. Dr. Cooper-Lewter explores violence as a public health issue and highlights the disproportionate impact of violence on African-American males.
